I got this pillowcase for my husband because he is always hot at night and has trouble falling asleep because of it. The fabric of this pillowcase feels very similar to a cooling pillowcase that I have had for years and love (but is discontinued, so I can’t get any more of them). It is a silky smooth, not-quite-satin fabric that feels initially very cool to the touch. It fits on a standard size pillowcase, and has a slight pocket end (not very much overlap, so it does come untucked during the night).My husband reports that this pillowcase is very cooling right when he goes to bed, but after a short while, it warms up and isn’t really cool anymore. So if he doesn’t fall asleep right away (and he usually doesn’t), he has to flip it over. His head puts out a lot of heat at night though, so the pillowcase might stay cooler longer for others.

Interesting pillowcase that does run cool to the touch
To begin: I’m a 64 y/o woman who still gets hot flashes, despite air-conditioning and a fan blowing on me at night. It’s the sheets off then blankets on routine that so many of us know. I ordered this pillowcase hoping that I would find some kind of relief in the night, even it was only for my head.The fabric is very unusual. It’s a silky nylon blend, very swishy and soft. It reminds me of luxury, expensive women’s lingerie. It’s extremely slippery, moreso when you have your head on it; there certainly won’t be any resistance or pulling on the hair all night.I washed it before using it, put it in a mesh bag to protect it from getting snagged. It washed and dried as good as new. One thing to note: because it is so slippery the pillow may want to slide a little out of the pillowcase.I slept quite well and did not experience any heat or sweating on it.The reason for the 4* and not 5* is the price, at almost $20 it is a bit pricey for a rectangle of nylon fabric. I could see if it were real silk, but it’s not. Otherwise it’s exactly what it purports to be.
