Great starter kit reasonably priced, I purchased this kit to monitor my levels because my blood sugar was a little high, great for adjusting my diet and seeing the results without the guessing between bloodwork, the unit works as expected, and the needle sample tool is simple and easy to use, takes only a few seconds to get results.

iHealth is a brand of covid/flu test that is on the list at the CDC’s website, so when I saw this, I knew it was accurate and wanted to try it. It is well put together and easy to use. The lancet doesn’t hurt. You only need a tiny bit of blood, not nearly as much of a drop as I thought I would need for the monitor.I am not a diabetic yet so am not familiar with other brands out there, but feel confident that this is the one I will continue to buy. The price is amazing. Highly recommend. One side point, I did not try to set it up for stored readings, since all I am looking for is to track trends. But it should set up easily since everything else works so well. It did accurately reflect the times I ate an extra roll with dinner. I wanted to know how much indiscretions would affect my blood sugar, and am now more determined to walk away from temptation.Oh yes, I do now remember trying another glucose monitor a couple of years ago, and when it arrived, the package said that it is accurate within 20%!!! Egad! I threw it out. Just a reminder that you do need to be cautious when buying these things, and iHealth is the one for you. I am a verified customer who bought this monitor and my review has no strings attached.

Ideally it sounds great, in reality it has never worked for me.
I have used traditional kit before, so this isn’t new to me.The packaging is great, and it seems to be very straight forward.However, out of all three times I have tried, the process was miserable and never worked.1. The poking tool, I used 1 and 7 for poking. The pro is the needle is small, and it only does light puncture. The con is, there’s not enough blood to cover the strip tip. I have to poke myself 3 times to get enough blood for it.2. The device turns on and stays on 7d average, there’s never countdown for strip insert.Now my blood has got into the insert device and it still hasn’t been able to detect glucose level.
