Extremely soft and smooth
This Cleo silk pillowcase has a smooth satiny finish and feels very luxurious. I feel very spoiled and pampered using it. The only things I do wonder is if you are supposed to wash it as frequently as other bedding. Since the silk is thinner than cotton I wonder if it will hold up to as many washings over time or if it needs to be babied a lot more. I also do feel like I only want to wash when my hair is clean, so it doesn’t get any product or hair oils onto the pillow case, but that is just because I want to keep it in as good condition as possible. It’s very white, and I hope it stays that way.The only thing I could do without is the embroidered logo. But on the bright side if it wasn’t genuine silk I don’t think a company would want to embroider and put their name on it.

Better Than Every Budget Sill/Satin Pillowcase I’ve Tried, But Wish It Was Bigger and Came in a Set!
I didn’t have high expectations for this silk pillowcase, but it’s lovely. I just wish it was larger for a standard pillow—it only fits one of my smallest and least-filled pillows, which doesn’t get much use unfortunately. I would also like to see this pillowcase in a set of two, since my pillow with the Cleo pillowcase is an odd man out. The zipper works well and keeps the pillow secure, but I’m not a huge fan of the zipper closure.Having said that, I do believe it is genuine silk. It’s super shiny until you wash it, which does dull she shine a bit. However, it’s incredibly durable and hardly wrinkles, which I cannot say about the 10+ silk/satin pillowcases I’ve bought on Amazon at cheaper prices. The pillowcase is SO soft. Like I said, just wish it was bigger and more versatile so I could get more use out of it. Okay value for money, and could be improved.

Real silk pillowcase; It passed the burn test
I was very suspicious of this case being real silk, because of its great pricepoint. I decided to subject a strip of fabric to flame to conduct the tried and true burn test.Silk smells like burnt hair when it’s burning. It turns to ash and crumbles away. Imposter fabrics often melt and harden, because they are plastic based. The burn test is a useful validation method when testing for silk. The flame reveals the truth!I snipped off a strip of pillowcase fabric from the inside seam, by the zipper. This allowed me to test without causing any noticeable damage to the pillowcase.This fabric smelled godawful when burnt..like burning hair. It crumbled back and turned to ash (no nefarious melting here). The fabric behaved as it should when it scrunched back as it hit the flame.This is made from real silk!I’ve conducted the burn test on several Amazon derived “silk” pillowcases. Most have melted, revealing them to be plastic.I was definitely surprised that this case passed the test.It’s labeled as being 22 momme, which is great, if true.This case is sized for a standard sized pillow. Not all will fit though. For example, my 850 loft down pillow is too puffy to fit inside this case. My 650 loft fits fine. Just something to be aware of.The case seems well made, in that the zipper is firmly sewn in place and I noticed no loose threads upon arrival.The brand name is emblazoned on the outside corner of this case, which I do not like at all. The embroidery makes that spot feel rough and it just looks bad. No one wants to look at their nice silk laden bed and see a brand name. At least I don’t.With all of these points in mind this pillowcase is a fabulous deal. Silk is expensive. This pillowcase makes silk accessible to most.Silk is great to sleep on as it’s gentle on your hair and skin. It also feels soft and luxurious. It’s not too hot either.
