    Truly Informative!
I began natural hormone therapy in 2008. I went to a Biomedical doctor. I had the saliva and blood tests. It was very expensive. I was diagnosed with Estrogen Dominance and low progesterone. I began taking natural Estrogen blockers and progesterone pills. For the next two years my symptoms of insomnia, weight gain, PMS, cyclical headaches calmed down and I was able to lose weight and feel much better. Then I was laid off and couldn’t afford the Biomedical doctor. A year and half after being off the progesterone I became very sick with facial neuralgia and all of my previous symptoms returned. That’s when I read this book and found out that I could purchase progesterone through Amazon, in a cream and with the recommendations from Dr. Lee I am again on the road back to recovery and feeling “balanced.” And without having to spend so much $$$. A saliva test on his website costs $35. The Estrogen blocker (CDG EstroDim) was also available on Amazon. His book gives clear and detailed information, with checklists so that you can see which category you fall under. Plus practical advice on what happens with hormone imbalance. Every woman should read this book, at any age, to be more informed about your health. Hormone imbalance can happen at any time. My 18year old daughter has suffered from acne since puberty. After reading this book, she began taking the natural Estrogen blocker and her skin has cleared up. I really recommend this book!

Excellent for a more complete understanding of hormones
Loaded with excellent information, to include dosages and timing. The topic of estrogen dominance is especially well covered. I’ve read plenty of books on female hormone restoration after menopause, and I think this is the best overall coverage I’ve read. Progesterone seems to be the hormone stepchild, with all the attention going to estrogen and testosterone — Dr. John Lee balances the scales. I put his recommendations to work starting two months ago, and I am experiencing success in resolving estrogen dominance symptoms. Several symptoms, like hair thinning, is 80% resolved after two months on progesterone 20 on days and 10 off days, 30mg daily from skin cream (which also has the benefit of being inexpensive on Amazon). My only criticism is that much of Dr. Lee’s observations are clinical in nature, in other words, based on his patients’ experiences. I would like a bit more on medical research evidence. For example, the idea that hormone saliva testing is superior to serum testing is quite controversial, and I am left with uncertainty about my test results.Despite the few shortcomings, this book is a must read for anybody wanting to better understand hormones in general, and especially the critical role of progesterone.

    His easiest book to follow
All of his books are good but this one cuts through all of the science and gets down to how to use bioidenticals, mainly progesterone cream. I do get tested (serum and saliva), I do work with a compounding pharmacy and a medical doctor on my natural hormone therapy. The progesterone cream that I used was very helpful to me. And yes, there is such thing as too much of a good thing. You can overdo it on progesterone cream which Dr. Lee and Dr. Diana Schwarzbein, MD (the series of books “The Schwarzbein Principal” will tell you. You can get out of whack. You can get mid cycle bleeding if using to much and you can get a return of your symptoms if you use too much. Unfortunately, there are lots of creams over the counter and through MLM companies that are not necessarily good for you or effective. I haven’t heard of “lethal” side effects. That has me curious but can tell you that has never been a discussion with my doctors. I can tell you that I would prefer progesterone cream over any of the synthetic horse pee and other stuff the big pharmas have to offer which lead you to more problems. I guess the message here is: don’t over medicate. And, don’t assume it’s all PMS or all hormones. Remember the hormone systems all work in sync (Schwarzbein Principal book gives good info here). It could be blood sugar or something with diet that adds to your symptoms, cravings, etc. Aside from a few months on Progesterone cream (good ones), I would definitely monitor yourself with some help. Check out womentowomen.com website for a lot of free info and their personal program which is where I got started. And remember, there is no such thing as a risk free hormone (or most supplements for that matter). Natural doesn’t mean no side effects. Look at the big picture and get some professional advice if you aren’t sure or if you don’t feel right. And for the lady with lethal side effects, it would be nice for you to publish that information as not doing so does seem suspect.

Every Woman and Doctors who help treat Woman should read this book
If you are suffering from Menopause I highly recommend you read this book. You don’t have to have a medical degree to understand this book. It’s written simply and informatively. After reading this book I also ordered What your Doctor May Not Tell You About Menopause. I’m amazed at this day and age exactly how many Doctors are still not up on Hormone Replacement Therapy. There is absolutely no reason why any woman should be suffering from Hormone deficiency. Take charge of your body and your life. I am 60 years young and was desperate when I found this book and read it. I have been fortunate that I don’t have any health problems. I have always been very careful with making sure I take natural vs synthetic hormones. I was on the Estradiol and Progesterone for 5 years and then was told I had to go off of them. My hot flashes returned even worse than before. I had several all day and night. My husband ended up sick because I shut the heat off in our bedroom and opened all the windows with temperatures in the low 20s at night. He complained that it was so cold in there he could see his breath and was going to have to sleep in the spare bedroom. After reading these books I made an appointment with a new DR who studies Hormone Replacement Therapy. I’m happy to say that my husband and I are still sleeping in the same room and bed and I am no longer suffering from the discomforts of Menopause.

I find this book interesting and it explains hormones imbalance in a very clear way. Also, it helps in choosing the best “natural” therapy.

Klare Kaufempfehlung!
